“I’ve never danced before.”
Our Intro to Dance (I2D) classes are the best place to start. These classes are aimed at the beginner dancer, providing a fun, inclusive environment to learn the basics. You can start our I2D class at any time, and every few weeks we change the dances so your always adding to your foundational knowledge.
“I’ve never danced before, but I’m ambitious.”
That's great, we love ambitious people! If this is you, the best bet would be to combine the I2D class with the Latin & Ballroom Improvers classes and Skills in Action class. I2D will teach you the steps, and the skills classes will fast track you skills. Then follow that up by joining a Crystal Medal Class.
“I’ve never danced before, and I’m nervous.”
We love nervous people too! Being nervous but trying anyway shows real strength. Our I2D class will nurture you through the early stages of you dance life in a friendly environment. Remember, everyone starts as a beginner.
If you feel that a group setting is too much however, you can always consider Private Lessons for one on one coaching that works to your pace.
“We’re getting married!”
First of all, congratulations! Your first dance is a great moment and we'll ensure you feel confident dancing in front of your in-laws. Wedding dances (or bridal party, father of the bride, etc.) are done in Private Lessons, so get in touch to discuss your vision. We don't sell packages, or inflate our prices because it's a wedding, so you'll only ever pay for what you need.
“I’ve done another style of dance before.”
If this is you, there are a few options to choose from or combine. The Intro to Dance is still a good way to learn the basic figures of up to four dances, so you can still start there. However, if you are experienced in another form of dancing you may feel like jumping into a bigger challenge right away. Options include Medal classes, New Vogue and/or Skills classes.
“I’ve done ballroom dancing before.”
If you've previously danced, whether it was doing medals or competitions, we have the experience to further develop your dancing. Joining our Improvers are best to work on your skills and Skills in action is a great place to hone fitness and refine actions. Private Lessons are available to prepare you for your next event
We plan to add more classes aimed at the competitive dancer in the near future, so stay tuned!
